Under the contract, KTZ will manufacture and supply a K-27-1,3 type condensing turbine.
The delivery package will include an automatic control system for a steam turbine installation and a TAP-30-2UZ type generator. The prototype of the product was the K-27-2.9 turbine, which KTZ had previously manufactured and supplied for the Estonian Northern Thermal Power Plant.

To implement this investment project and expand the production of thermomechanical pulp (TMP), included in the order of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation dated June 28, 2019 No. 2317, Volga JSC leased forest plots in Varnavinsky district of Nizhny Novgorod region with a total area of more than 100 thousand hectares.
In fact, the funds raised for the investment project exceeded RUB 1.5 billion.

In 2020, Volga JSC increased its production volume to 276,099 tons of products.

The 25th International packaging industry exhibition RosUpack was held from 15 to 18 June, 2021 in Moscow. For the first time, JSC Volga’s commercial service has presented new products for the packaging segment at the exhibition.

At the beginning of June 2021, JSC Volga has put a halt to production capacities in order to carry out annual preventive and planned repairs. This year, the terms of repairs were increased, due to the need to conduct large-scale repairs along the entire chain of technological equipment – from the wood preparation to the paper plant. Not only is it for the sake of making all the necessary repairs, but also in order to implement a number of investment projects on the modernization of paper-making machines No. 5 and No. 8, longitudinal cutting machines and packaging lines. The terms of repairs this year were affected by the last year’s lockdown, when due to the restrictions related to COVID-19, the duration of the planned shutdown was reduced as much as possible.

JSC Volga will take part in the 25th International packaging industry exhibition RosUpack, which will be held in Moscow, from 15 to 18 June. This year, the largest packaging industry event in Russia and Eastern Europe is expected to host more than 650 companies from 36 countries; managers and specialists from Russian and foreign companies of various sectors of the economy, who seek for a supplier of packaging equipment, materials, raw materials or completed packaging.

Within the framework of the project implemented in accordance with the new JSC Volga development and modernization program, two dewatering process lines – BELLMER Kufferath Machinery GmbH (Germany) – were acquired and installed. The investment amounted to more than 1 million euros.

The business-forum “Export time” dedicated to the development of export and the support of export-oriented activities took place in Nizhny Novgorod on May 26. Representatives of about 300 companies participated in the event, including those from JSC Volga. Deputy General Director – Director for Economics and Finance Sergey Lomakin spoke at the meeting of Export council held under the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, as well as moderated the Plenary session “Main Trends in Export Development in modern realities”.

The company passed an audit and received the FSC certificate (code NC-FM/COC-031831, FSC 100%) for round timber and fuel wood/firewood of various wood types. That confirms that JSC Volga works within the framework of both Russian and international requirements and takes a responsible approach to forest development. The new certificate is valid until April, 2026.

At the end of February 2021, the Gorky railway began transporting new JSC Volga production from Nizhny Novgorod region to China through the port of Vladivostok. The first container block train with newsprint for export set off on a new route to China on February, 23. This was announced by the Deputy General Director for Transport and Logistics Alexey Polyansky.
