Volga JSC purchased a batch of new loaders in framework of implementation a strategic project on reorienting PMM-6 for production of package papers. Six pieces of equipment arrived at the industrial complex in June this year, including three all-wheel drive multi terrain loaders to perform work in all weather conditions. The head of the waste paper warehouse of Volga JSC, Aleksandr Emelianov, told about it.

Recycled pulp will be unloaded onto a well-equipped waste paper storage yard and transferred to the buffer zone of MM-500 line using this equipment.

For this purpose, all loaders are equipped with bale clamps, and taking into account the operating conditions in an open area in winter, additional attachments, i.e. a bucket and a blade, were purchased.

New loaders will be refueled by a mobile gas station. Use of fuel cards introduced at the Company. For instance, such accountability has already been implemented in the finished product shipment shop.

“Presently, in accordance with the long-term hiring plan, the process of recruiting waste paper warehouse personnel is going on,” Aleksandr Emelianov said. – In August we want to start work shifts. In addition to the acquisition of new loading and unloading equipment, the infrastructure of the industrial complex is being dynamically upgraded, and it will be involved in the process of providing recycled pulp: the repair of Checkpoint-2 with finishing and furnishing of an adjacent parking lot is being completed. Currently, work is being performed on repair of the access routes to the waste paper storage yard and the building of MM-500 line, and improvement of the surrounding area. A portable trestle is being prepared for operation, which will be used to unload waste paper bales from trucks. A vehicle weighing and identification system is being tested on newly installed motor-truck scale, which allows for automatic data recording.”

Deputy General Director of Procurement Ilya Safronov added: “Preparations of the logistics infrastructure are in their final stage. All work is performed in accordance with approved schedules. In the next while we will begin placing recycled pulp on the well-developed site. Our active task is to accumulate about 3,000 tons of waste paper before the launch of MM-500 line and ensure its timely delivery to the drum-type pulper.”
