Volga JSC will take part in the 28th RosUpack International Packaging Industry Exhibition which will be held from June 18 thru 21, 2023 in Moscow. The Company's stand number D6061 is located in pavilion number 3, hall 14.
Participation in the RosUpack exhibition is of interest to Volga JSC from the viewpoint of opportunities to promote the products, enter into new agreements, and it will help more correctly plan sales of new products after the launch of reoriented paper making machine No. 6 (PMM6) in the fourth quarter of 2024.
Volga company focuses on the production of 45-120 g/m2 light and ultra-light container boards. This sets us apart from most of our competitors. At present, the major equipment of reoriented PMM 6 is being installed at the production site. “This will make it possible to increase production volumes of low-basis weight corrugated board flutes and light liners by 140,000 tons annually,” Deputy Sales General Director Dmitri Krivoruchenko said.
He also added that for 2024, the commercial department of Volga JSC has planned activities to introduce a new product, i.e. container board of excellent consumer properties, to the market.
The fundamental advantages of new PMM6 products include the high strength and low moisture absorption. PMM6 is equipped with an up-to-date gluing press. This will make it possible to manufacture Testliner with surface sizing and high moisture resistance. An important characteristic will be the cost-effectiveness and environmental friendliness of PMM6 products. The furnish is based on a recycled pulp mix and thermomechanical pulp, which is an innovation for both the Russian and Western industries.
Testing of new finish samples on a pilot machine confirmed excellent consumer properties of future level Testliner 1 and Testliner 2 products according to the international CEPI gradation, which will make it possible to successfully process container board of Volga JSC on advanced high-speed corrugated board making machines.
