The Company hit the podium in two nominations at once – it took second place in the "Responsible ESG Exporter" category and third place in the "Exporter of the Year in the Industrial Sector” category.
Exporter of the Year Award established within the framework of the “International Cooperation and Export” national project and is presented to organizations and individual entrepreneurs who have demonstrated outstanding performance in export of non-resource, non-energy goods, works, services, as well as results of intellectual activity.
“Despite the sanctions pressure, companies continue to grow, search out new foreign partners and sales markets. Our Export Development Center and the Russian Export Center provide them with all possible assistance in this regard. We have seen that these joint efforts deliver results,” Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Andrei Sanosian
noted.
“The Exporter of the Year Award recognizes companies that are most efficient in foreign markets. Every year, businessmen from Nizhny Novgorod make the lists of best exporters. For instance, last year four regional businesses won the prizes, and this year already six businesses are prize winners. This is the result of the high professionalism and competitiveness of our companies, as well as successful interaction between business and the state,” Maksim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region said.
“Today, Volga JSC pays special attention to the development of foreign economic relations with friendly countries, taking into account their production potential, which helps us develop, continue implementing investment projects, and find new sales markets and partners abroad. In 2023, we exported our products to more than 50 countries around the world. Among the largest foreign consumers are China, India, African and CIS countries. The Company finds ways to maintain and expand its presence in these countries. This will help us to efficiently plan sales of novel products (low-basis weight corrugated board flutes and light liners) when reoriented paper-making machine No. 6 is launched. The Company will continue to diversify its product portfolio and sales geography, following its development strategy. At the same time, we will make efforts to increase awareness of Volga JSC brand in export markets, in particular in China, and plan to participate in exhibitions and other major industry and marketing events,” Sergei Pondar, General Director of Volga JSC commented.
The Award Ceremony for the prize winners of the federal stage will take place in August of this year within the framework of the International Export Forum “Made in Russia” with the participation of top officials of the Russian Government.
